Mykeel Charakan Residence

This residence for a family of Ayurvedic doctors is an expression of their lifestyle and the way of life they practice and preach. The connectivity to nature along with requirements of a modern family where the initial building blocks for this project. Through this residence we have tried to utilize the texture of laterite.Located in a site where laterite is a vernacular material with emphasis on traditional craftsmanship. Wall paint with mud plaster, Jalli works, dramatic play of light and shadow Pillar with small laterite stones all form the important aspects that lead to the realization of this project.
